style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;ABS&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Anti-locking Brake System &lt;/span&gt;(sistemul de anti blocare a franelor).&lt;br /&gt; Este un sistem care nu permite blocarea rotilor la franare, oricat de mare ar fi forta de apasare a pedalei de frana si oricat de scazuta ar fi aderenta la sol.&lt;br /&gt; De asemenea in cazul aderentei diferite intre roti (datorata conditiilor de carosabil) nu permite blocarea rotii cu aderenta mai scazuta, astfel directia autovehiculului ramane controlabila pe toata perioada franarii.&lt;br /&gt; La apasarea puternica a franei, in cazul intrarii in functiune a ABS-ului, se simte o vibratie in pedala de frana.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;EBD&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Electronic Brake–force Distributor&lt;/span&gt; (distribuitor electronic al fortei de franare)&lt;br /&gt; Dupa cum se stie in cazul franarii autovehiculului aderenta cea mai mare este pe rotile puntii din fata si intr-un procent mai mic pe rotile puntii din spate. Acest procent se poate modifica in functie de :&lt;br /&gt;- gradul de incarcare si repartizarea greutatii in autovehicul;&lt;br /&gt;- de unghiul de inclinare (fata-spate) al autovehiculului in cazul franarii.&lt;br /&gt; Se cunoaste faptul ca la franare autovehiculul are tendinta de a se inclina in partea din fata si de a se ridica in partea din spate. Cu cat spatele autovehiculului se ridica mai mult in cazul franarii, rotile din spate tind sa piarda aderenta si sa se blocheze.&lt;br /&gt;EBD este un sistem electronic care nu permite blocarea rotilor puntii din spate avand rolul de a modifica forta de franare creata de pompa de frana si de a distribui aceasta presiune in mod optim intre rotile puntii din fata si cele ale puntii din spate, astfel incat sa nu se creeze dezechilibre.&lt;br /&gt;Cu alte cuvinte EBD-ul are rolul de ajustare a echilibrului dinamic la franare intre punti.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object width="425" height="344"&gt;&lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6HSGywWANu8&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1"&gt;&lt;param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"&gt;&lt;param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"&gt;&lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6HSGywWANu8&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;EPS&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Electronic Power Steering&lt;/span&gt; (servodirectie asistata electronic).&lt;br /&gt; Este un sistem electronic de asistare a servo-directiei in functie de viteza de deplasare si unghiul de bracare (virare) al volanului.&lt;br /&gt;Astfel la viteze mici,in cazul efectuarii unor manevre de parcare,intoarcere s.a., volanul se roteste cu foarte mare usurinta. In cazul in care viteza creste si forta necesara virarii volanului creste.&lt;br /&gt;Acest lucru ingreuneaza efectuarea unor virari prea puternice la viteze mari, impiedicand astfel intrarea in derapaj sau rasturnarea autoturismului.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;ESP&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Electronic Stability Program&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Este un program electronic de control al derapajului in tractiune (accelerare). Astfel in cazul ruperii aderentei la una din rotile de tractiune (in cazul unei accelerari puternice, sau a unei suprafete de contacat cu aderenta scazuta) se aplica asupra ei o forta de franare comandata electronic, care impiedica intrarea acesteia in derapaj.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Atentie !!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Oricat  de sofisticate sunt aceste sisteme electronice de comanda si control care se gasesc pe autovehiculele de ultima generatie, nu trebuie sa uitam ca nu pot remedia in totalitate greselile conducatorilor auto sau vitezele care frana prinde mai puternic. Astfel, daca frana pe roata din stanga fata prinde mai tare, autovehiculul pivoteaza spre stanaga catre banda din sens opus. Astfel se creeaza presiune asupra lichidului de frana care este impins prin conducte spre etriere. Lichidul sub presiune ajuns in etriere v-a impinge pistonasele si implicit placutele de frana spre discul de frana. Cu cat punctul de fierbere este mai ridicat cu atata lichidul de frana este mai bun.&lt;br /&gt;Punctul de fierbere la lichidul de frana DOT3 incepe la 205 grade celsius, iar la DOT4 la 260 grade celsius.&lt;br /&gt;Este interzisă amestecarea lichidului de frână DOT 3/DOT 4 cu alte lichide de frână pe baza de uleiuri minerale şi cu lubrifianţi pentru motoare cu ardere internă.&lt;br /&gt;V-am atentionat asupra punctului de fierbere din cauza unui pericol foarte mare care ii pandeste pe soferii cu mai putina experienta ce conduc in zone montane sau colinare. La coborarea unor pante foarte lungi, daca persoana care conduce tine apasata continu pedala de frana (chiar daca pedala nu este apasata tare), din cauza frecarii dintre placutele de frana si disc se degaja caldura. Cu cat timpul de contact intre placutele de frana si disc este mai mare cu atata este mai mare si caldura degajata. Se poate ajunge pana la temperaturi de 400-800 grade celsius. In astfel de cazuri lichidul de frana incepe sa fiarba. Din cauza fierberii lichidului in etriere si pe conducte se produc gaze. In momentul in care se produc gaze si lichidul i-si pierde consisteneta autovehiculul ramane fara frane.
